Silicon carbide fiber-reinforced silicon carbide ceramic matrix composites (SiCf/SiC composites) are ceramic matrix composites (CMCs) in which continuous silicon carbide fibers serve as the reinforcement and SiC ceramics form the matrix. SiC fiber preforms are fabricated through weaving processes, after which SiC matrices are densified via techniques such as chemical vapor infiltration (CVI) and precursor impregnation–pyrolysis (PIP), thereby establishing a synergistic “fiber–interphase–matrix” structure. These composites exhibit excellent high‑temperature stability, environmental adaptability, design flexibility, and outstanding mechanical performance. They are primarily used in hot-end components for aerospace applications, cladding materials for nuclear reactors, and high‑temperature components for gas turbines.
