Pyrolytic carbon coating
Product Details
Pyrolytic carbon (PyC) is a quasi‑crystalline carbon coating formed by the pyrolysis of hydrocarbons such as methane and propane under controlled atmospheres at high temperatures (1000–2000°C) via chemical vapor deposition (CVD/CVI), with carbon atoms deposited onto the surface of graphite, carbon fiber, or ceramic substrates. It is a critical surface modification material in the fields of high‑end equipment and medical implants.
